Business Intelligence Analyst

Kopius is a technology-driven company committed to helping partners innovate through digital strategy and engineering. They are seeking a Business Intelligence Analyst to join their Data & Analytics team, responsible for transforming data into actionable insights and supporting operational efficiency through business intelligence reporting and data analysis.

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain Power BI dashboards and SSRS reports to support operational and strategic business initiatives
• Collect, analyze, and interpret data from multiple sources to generate actionable insights and recommendations
• Develop performance metrics and reporting frameworks to support business decision-making
• Conduct comprehensive assessments of existing dashboards and reporting solutions, recommending improvements and optimizations
• Perform ad-hoc reporting, data mining, and analysis to support evolving business needs
• Partner closely with stakeholders to understand reporting and analytics requirements
• Translate business needs into technical documentation and scalable BI solutions
• Collaborate with Data Architects, Data Engineers, QA teams, and Project Managers to support analytics initiatives
• Communicate findings, trends, and recommendations effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences
• Support data-driven decision-making processes across business and operational teams
• Contribute to the enhancement of analytics and reporting processes across the organization
• Ensure reporting accuracy, data consistency, and overall dashboard usability
• Stay current with industry trends, emerging BI technologies, and analytics best practices
• Identify opportunities to improve reporting automation, scalability, and operational efficiency
• Support continuous improvements in analytics workflows and stakeholder experience

Requirements:

• Intermediate/Advanced English skills with strong communication abilities
• Self-motivated, proactive, and comfortable operating in fast-paced, collaborative environments
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage changing priorities and deadlines
• Excellent interpersonal and stakeholder management skills
• 3+ years of experience in Business Intelligence, Reporting, or Data Analysis roles
• Strong hands-on experience with Power BI dashboard development
• Strong hands-on experience with SSRS reporting
• Strong hands-on experience with SQL query development
• Strong understanding of data analysis and reporting methodologies
• Strong understanding of data models and database design concepts
• Strong understanding of performance metrics and business reporting frameworks
• Strong understanding of data mining and analytical techniques
• Ability to gather and document business and technical requirements
• Experience collaborating with cross-functional technical and business teams
• Knowledge of Microsoft Azure cloud platform is a plus
• Experience within the insurance industry or digital business environments is preferred
• Familiarity with enterprise analytics ecosystems and reporting best practices
• Exposure to data engineering, data warehousing, or cloud-based analytics platforms is a plus
• Experience working within agile environments is beneficial
