About this role

StackAdapt is the leading technology company that empowers marketers to reach, engage, and convert audiences with precision. The Senior Software Engineer, EngOps will maintain tooling and infrastructure, develop services for managing and scaling systems, and act as a technical leader to ensure robust software design across core service teams.

Responsibilities:

Maintain tooling, libraries, and infrastructure leveraged by all core service teams
Develop and maintain infrastructure services that enable engineers to manage, deploy, and scale systems
Act as a technical leader, guiding core service teams to design robust and reliable software
Propose, design, coordinate, and implement cross-cutting initiatives impacting all of core services, both as an individual contributor and as a technical leader
Propose, design, document, and communicate evolving SRE best practices to keep StackAdapt's core service backend maintainable
Conduct security reviews for new projects, technologies, and services

Requirements:

At least 5 years experience in Infrastructure, Cloud, or Backend engineering
At least 5 years experience with AWS, or other Cloud provider
Strong programming, system design, and scripting skills
Deep understanding of infrastructure as a code and application/network security
Experience setting up complex AWS environments with Terraform
Database management experience is a plus
Experience with our existing technologies is a strong plus: Terraform, Vault, Nomad, Packer, Vagrant, Boundary, Consul, Waypoint, Redis, Aerospike, Go, ScyllaDB, Elasticsearch, RDS, Grafana, Prometheus, Kafka, Envoy, Nginx
