Spinwheel is on a mission to reinvent how consumers manage debt through their innovative platform. They are seeking a Product Manager to own the bureau strategy and lead integrations with credit bureaus, ensuring the development of bureau-powered products that improve financial outcomes for users.
Responsibilities:
- Build and refine our bureau roadmap across Equifax, Experian, TransUnion, and specialty/alternative bureaus
- Evaluate bureau offerings (attributes, scores, decisioning tools, fraud products, income estimates, and more) and determine how they map to Spinwheel’s long-term strategy
- Create frameworks to compare bureau datasets, pricing, latency, accuracy, and vertical strengths
- Partner with leadership to define diversification, redundancy, and cost optimization strategies
- Own the full integration lifecycle — from vendor evaluation and scoping to API architecture, data validation, rollout, and monitoring
- Define integration requirements, error handling, data normalization rules, and reconciliation processes
- Work with Engineering and Data to ensure clean ingestion, mapping, standardization, and parity across bureaus
- Track success metrics including uptime, data quality, match rates, latency, and reliability
- Design features and intelligence that leverage bureau data for: Liability identification & enrichment, Underwriting inputs & data prep, Debt reduction insights, Repayment optimization & modeling, Credit improvement recommendations
- Translate bureau capabilities into user-facing value that improves savings, outcomes, and financial health
- Partner with Compliance & Legal to operationalize FCRA alignment, data retention, user disclosures, and bureau contract requirements
- Ensure data flows, product behavior, and user journeys reflect permissible purpose and auditability needs
- Define data quality monitoring, reconciliation routines, issue classification, and bureau dispute workflows
Requirements:
- Have extensive experience with credit bureaus—data products, integrations, APIs, attributes, compliance, and use cases
- Have shipped financial products in fast-paced startup or high-velocity environments
- Use AI tools to actually ship more, faster, and better
- Are technical enough to work closely with engineers and data teams
- Are customer-obsessed and able to make the right trade-offs in regulated spaces
- Get energized by messy, complex, high-impact problem spaces—especially debt, lending, and credit infrastructure
- Experience: Fintech, credit bureaus, APIs, or AI systems experience strongly preferred
- Location: Fully remote (U.S. time zones preferred)
