Job Title: Mechanical Engineer
Duration: 2+ years (strong possibility of conversion)

Description:
- Level II: 2-5 Years of Experience. Responsible for the design, modeling, development and testing of a machine, structure, or system.
- Develops functional requirements. Understands and applies standard engineering principles.
- Creates simulations and prototypes to evaluate preliminary designs and test how a machine, structure or system operates.
- Designs and tests components and integrate components to produce final product. Monitors quality of products and controls the efficiency of processes.
- Evaluates a design's overall effectiveness, cost, reliability, and safety. Investigates root causes of failures to maintain quality and recommend improvements.
- The hiring team is primarily seeking candidates who can develop and manage gas plans, which involve creating construction procedures for specific projects that are sent out to construction teams.
- The role requires outlining detailed, step-by-step construction activities and procedures.
- Responsibilities include developing procedures covering:
- Construction process workflows and required steps
- Valve operations and sequencing
- Identification of control points
- Pressure monitoring locations and processes
- Operational procedures related to utility infrastructure systems
Education:
- Mechanical Engineering degree from an accredited institution.
- Engineering degree strongly preferred, especially for candidates with less overall experience.
Experience:
- 2 5 years of engineering experience.
- Experience Developing construction procedures
- Utility and pipeline exposure strongly preferred, Ex : Natural gas pipelines, Water lines, Petroleum gas systems, Fire suppression systems
- Experience with gas and water meter equipment preferred
- Experience with AutoCAD (primary software exposure preferred)
- EI (Engineer-in-Training) certification preferred but not required
- Experience with Microsoft Office tools
- Ability to learn proprietary software (training will be provided)
