The Data Product Manager for Finance will own and develop data products that enhance planning, forecasting, and financial performance analysis, collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver impactful solutions.
Responsibilities:
- Own Finance-focused data products end to end, partnering with cross-functional teams to help shape product strategy, set priorities, define requirements, and drive delivery
- Build and maintain pipelines, datasets, dashboards, APIs, and frameworks that Finance teams rely on daily for planning, forecasting, and performance analysis
- Contribute to the data management tools and services that power AI and BI across the company
- Spend time with Finance teams learning their workflows, translating their needs into clear requirements and user stories, and building relationships across Finance, engineering, and technical counterparts
- Keep the voice of the user central in prioritization and discovery, help shape the roadmap for Finance-focused data products, and push for the right solutions even when the ask is not fully formed
- Own your product backlog, break complex problems into well-scoped increments, manage dependencies across technical teams, and support agile delivery from sprint planning through release
- Make thoughtful tradeoff decisions across business impact, technical feasibility, and timelines, while balancing new feature delivery with long-term platform health
- Define success metrics and track adoption, usability, and business value
- Drive adoption through documentation, onboarding, rollouts, and change management
- Partner with engineering and Finance teams to drive resolution and capture what can be learned for next time
Requirements:
- 3 to 5 years of product management experience with a focus on data products, platforms, analytics, or internal business systems, including at least one year at a modern, high-growth company
- Direct experience partnering with Finance stakeholders on planning, forecasting, or reporting workflows
- Solid foundation in data, analytics, and technical product management, with the ability to work effectively with engineering on technical details while staying focused on user value and business outcomes
- Familiarity with modern data platforms and scalable architecture concepts such as lakehouse or medallion models
- Experience working with sensitive financial data, including SOX-related processes, with sound judgment on balancing controls with execution speed
- Strong communication skills across technical and non-technical audiences, with the ability to give stakeholders clear visibility into product direction, progress, and risk
- Comfortable operating with guidance from senior product and data leaders while independently owning your area and driving work forward with a high degree of accountability
