Boehringer Ingelheim is seeking a Senior AI Product Manager to lead digital initiatives aimed at improving healthcare solutions. The role involves defining product vision, driving product discovery, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to develop and validate prototypes using AI tools.
Responsibilities:
- Define and own product vision and roadmap for early-stage digital products across therapeutic and business areas
- Build to think. Ship working prototypes — not just decks — using AI tools (Claude Code, Cursor, Lovable, v0) to validate desirability, feasibility, and viability fast
- Drive product discovery by identifying unmet user and business needs, testing assumptions through qualitative research, prototypes, landing pages, and A/B tests, and turning evidence into informed product decisions and a living roadmap
- Work side-by-side with cross-functional teams (engineering, UX, medical, commercial, legal) to move prototypes into pilots and beyond
- Partner with business and clinical stakeholders to align on outcomes, connect the product to strategic goals, and manage expectations throughout the journey
- Prioritize ruthlessly, keeping focus on what delivers meaningful impact — for patients, clinicians, or operations — rather than just building features
- Bring entrepreneurial thinking to pharma: help shape business models, go-to-market strategies, and internal adoption pathways for new solutions
- Mentor and support others in the organization on AI-native product practices as we scale our innovation capability
Requirements:
- Master's degree desired or Bachelor's degree with practical experience
- Five plus (5+) years of digital product management experience, including hands-on product development
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience only
- Two-plus (2+) years of digital product management experience
- Demonstrated builder track record: a portfolio of prototypes, internal tools, or 0-to-1 products you personally shipped
- Fluent with AI builder tools like Claude Code, Cursor, Lovable, Github Copilot, and opinionated about when each is the right call
- Technical depth to read code, work with APIs, and make trade-offs with engineers
- Strong design taste. You can tell good UX from bad on sight, and you produce prototypes people actually want to use
- Strong fluency in product discovery techniques (experimentation, user research, business model design) and a natural collaborator who can influence without authority across senior stakeholders
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without restriction
- Must be willing to take a drug test and post-offer physical (if required)
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Experience in healthcare, life sciences, or other regulated environments
