Take2 Consulting is a trusted provider of technology and professional services supporting critical federal government missions. They are seeking a skilled Data Engineer to support the design, development, optimization, and maintenance of enterprise data pipelines, cloud-based solutions, and analytics platforms.
Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain robust data pipelines and ETL processes for ingesting, transforming, and loading data from diverse data sources
- Build and optimize data architectures and models to support analytics, reporting, and operational business needs
- Implement and manage CI/CD pipelines for data engineering workflows using Jenkins, Maven, GitHub, and Bitbucket
- Develop and deploy cloud-based solutions leveraging AWS services including S3, Lambda, ECS, and SQS
- Support Azure cloud services including CosmosDB and Azure Functions
- Develop and maintain containerized applications using Docker and Kubernetes
- Collaborate with DBAs and software developers to design data models, stored procedures, APIs, and system integrations
- Ensure data quality, integrity, and security through validation, monitoring, and logging tools such as Splunk, CloudWatch, Kibana, and Elasticsearch
- Support cloud modernization, system migration, and enterprise integration initiatives
- Troubleshoot and resolve production issues while ensuring high availability and system reliability
- Document technical processes, workflows, architectures, and solutions for operational support and compliance purposes
- Stay current on emerging technologies, cloud platforms, and DevOps best practices
Requirements:
- 8+ years of overall professional experience with at least 5+ years of Data Engineering or Software Development experience
- Strong programming skills with Python, Java, SQL, and PySpark
- Hands-on experience building and optimizing ETL pipelines and enterprise data workflows
- Experience working with Oracle, PostgreSQL, MySQL, SQL Server, and MongoDB databases
- Experience with AWS services including S3, Lambda, ECS, and SQS
- Experience supporting Azure services including CosmosDB and Azure Functions
- Knowledge of CI/CD tools and version control systems including Jenkins, Maven, GitHub, and Bitbucket
- Experience with containerization technologies including Docker and Kubernetes
- Experience with monitoring and logging tools including Splunk, CloudWatch, Kibana, and Elasticsearch
- Experience with REST and SOAP API development and integration
- Strong understanding of cloud engineering, DevOps, and modern software delivery practices
- Excellent communication and customer-facing skills
- Bachelor's degree required
- Ability to obtain a Public Trust clearance
- Experience supporting federal government or enterprise modernization initiatives
- Experience with cloud migration and large-scale data modernization efforts
- Knowledge of data governance, security, and compliance best practices
