Crossing Hurdles is seeking a Policy Analyst to support AI-related work focused on government and public administration workflows. The role involves designing rubric-style LLM prompts, evaluating AI-generated outputs, and contributing expertise to improve AI systems used in public sector and governance contexts.

Responsibilities:

• Support AI-related work focused on government and public administration workflows
• Design rubric-style LLM prompts and evaluate AI-generated outputs
• Create and review structured evaluation tasks related to policy, civic programs, and public sector operations
• Assess model reasoning, policy accuracy, and administrative practicality
• Contribute expertise to improve AI systems used in public sector and governance contexts

Requirements:

• Experience as a public sector consultant, policy analyst, or civic program lead
• Strong understanding of government operations, policy analysis, or public administration workflows
• Ability to design effective prompts and critically evaluate LLM responses
• Excellent analytical thinking and written communication skills
• Comfortable working independently in a remote environment
• Prior experience working on Mercor rubric-style tasks
