About this role
Fanatics is building a leading global digital sports platform, and they are seeking a Staff iOS Engineer to serve as a technical leader and architect across the mobile platform. The role involves driving complex initiatives, leading architecture and design of iOS systems, and mentoring engineers while contributing to the technical strategy and roadmap.
Responsibilities:
- Lead architecture and design of complex iOS systems
- Drive multi-team technical initiatives
- Define mobile engineering best practices
- Partner with backend teams on APIs and real-time systems
- Improve performance and reliability
- Mentor engineers and influence technical direction
- Contribute to technical strategy and roadmap
Requirements:
- 8+ years of software engineering experience with iOS focus
- Expertise in Swift, UIKit/SwiftUI
- Experience with real-time systems
- Strong system design and leadership experience
- Video streaming experience (HLS, WebRTC)
- Marketplace or e-commerce experience
- Startup or high-growth environment experience
