Software Engineering Apprentice – Android

Jack Henry & Associates is a technology company focused on empowering community banks and credit unions in the fintech landscape. The Software Engineering Apprentice – Android role is designed for individuals early in their software engineering journey, providing hands-on experience in developing a mobile application while working alongside experienced engineers.

Responsibilities:

• Learn Android development practices and become familiar with the team’s codebase
• Triage and resolve incoming bug reports and minor enhancements
• Implement small to medium‑sized code changes under mentorship
• Pair and shadow senior engineers on larger or more complex projects
• Participate in team discussions, code reviews, and daily collaboration
• Build a strong foundation in mobile development within a regulated fintech environment

Requirements:

• Be authorized to work in the United States without current or future sponsorship
• Meet legal requirements to work in the U.S. on an ongoing basis
• Experience with Java and/or Kotlin
• Exposure to Android development concepts or tooling
• Familiarity with GitHub or other version control platforms
