(Senior) Project Manager (m/f/d)

OpenTAS is a leading provider of digitalized business process solutions for the energy and chemicals supply chain. As a Senior Project Manager, you will take ownership of complex IT software projects, ensuring successful implementation from initiation to delivery while managing diverse stakeholders and project risks.

Responsibilities:

• Full project ownership for medium to large-scale IT implementations (TMS/MES) in the DACH region and internationally
• Lead cross-functional teams of software developers, consultants, and client stakeholders
• Manage requirement analysis, system configuration, integration testing, and go-live phases
• Coordinate closely with customer-side stakeholders (Operations, IT, Engineering)
• Apply best practice project management methodologies – using Jira
• Ensure delivery on time, within budget, and to quality expectations

Requirements:

• University degree (Bachelor's/Master) in Business, Informatics, Engineering, or a related field
• Minimum 5 years of experience in IT project management, ideally in software implementation for industrial applications
• Understanding of TMS/MES systems and their role in operational processes is a big plus
• Industry experience in Oil & Gas or related process industries (e.g. chemicals, energy)
• In-depth and proven knowledge and experience in managing the various project phases
• Experience with Jira or comparable tools is a plus
• Applicants must have native-level proficiency in German
• Willingness to travel for client meetings (approx. 10–20%)
