Stride, Inc. is a company focused on improving the educational experience through technology solutions. They are seeking a Product Manager for PowerSchool Solutions to lead product strategy, manage cross-functional collaborations, and ensure product solutions meet educational and operational needs.
Responsibilities:
- Own and drive product strategy, roadmap planning, and execution for PowerSchool-related products, integrations, and operational workflows
- Collaborate with engineering, UX, architects, implementation teams, and business stakeholders to ensure successful delivery of product initiatives
- Gather and prioritize requirements from internal stakeholders, schools, district partners, and customers to ensure solutions address operational and instructional needs
- Translate business requirements into clear user stories, workflows, acceptance criteria, and functional specifications
- Manage and prioritize product, release, and sprint backlogs based on business value, customer impact, technical complexity, and strategic priorities
- Serve as a subject matter expert for PowerSchool SIS workflows, data models, APIs, and integrations
- Partner with implementation and support teams to improve onboarding, adoption, scalability, and customer satisfaction
- Identify opportunities for automation, operational efficiency, reporting enhancements, and data quality improvements
- Support interoperability initiatives involving student information systems, rostering, identity management, LMS integrations, and state reporting requirements
- Analyze customer feedback, usage metrics, operational data, and support trends to drive continuous product improvement
- Participate actively in Agile ceremonies and collaborate closely with Scrum teams to deliver high-quality product increments
- Coordinate release planning, product communications, training materials, and rollout strategies across multiple schools and business units
- Ensure product solutions align with accessibility standards, security requirements, compliance expectations, and data governance practices
- Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including district partners, vendors, and third-party technology providers
- Inspire and motivate cross-functional teams to deliver innovative, scalable, and customer-focused solutions
Requirements:
- Five (5) years of product management, business systems, education technology, or related experience
- Experience working with Student Information Systems (SIS), preferably PowerSchool
- Equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered
- Demonstrated experience leading complex technology product initiatives from discovery through release
- Experience working within K–12 education systems, school operations, or education technology environments
- Strong understanding of PowerSchool functionality, SIS workflows, scheduling, enrollment, grading, attendance, and/or state reporting processes
- Experience managing integrations, APIs, data exchange processes, and interoperability standards
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to make data-informed decisions
- Experience collaborating with both technical and non-technical stakeholders across multiple teams
- Strong communication, organizational, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills
- Experience working in Agile software development environments, including Scrum and/or Kanban
- Experience using tools such as Jira, Confluence, Aha!, Azure DevOps, or similar platforms
- Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Experience creating product documentation, release notes, training materials, and implementation guidance
- Strong customer empathy and ability to translate user needs into scalable product solutions
- Ability to travel up to 5% of the time
- Ability to pass a required background check
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Education, Technology, or related field
- Experience with PowerSchool APIs, plugins, custom pages, or platform integrations
- Knowledge of Ed-Fi, OneRoster, Clever, ClassLink, or related interoperability standards
- Prior leadership or people management experience preferred
