1KOMMA5° is creating Germany's largest one-stop-shop for the sale, installation, and servicing of renewable energy technologies. As a Working Student Software Engineering, you will join a cross-functional team to build and maintain software solutions that streamline operations in the energy transition sector.
Responsibilities:
- Discover, evaluate, implement, and deploy software solutions for our core customer-facing products
- Extending and maintaining business critical applications
- Help shaping actionable requirements from complex and undefined business problems
- Foster a culture of experiment-driven innovation within the team
- Improve developer experience and customer satisfaction by constantly avoiding/reducing tech-debt, automating as much as possible, documenting decisions, improving the quality, and ultimately building software people love to use
- Work collaboratively with product managers, designers, and software engineers
Requirements:
- Enrolled at a German university for at least two more semesters, studying computer science or a comparable field, and willing to work 20 hours per week
- Some experience writing maintainable, self-describing, reusable, and testable code with TypeScript and other major back-end or full-stack technologies
- Basic knowledge of designing and maintaining RESTful APIs
- An agile and results-oriented mindset with a passion for supporting your team
- A creative and enthusiastic approach to tackling new challenges, contributing to an ambitious and dynamic company
- Excellent knowledge of spoken and written English (German is a plus)
- Residency in Germany
- Energy industry experience
