ICONMA is a Medical Research company looking for a Senior Business Analyst for their remote location. The role involves partnering with business stakeholders to gather and analyze requirements, managing documentation, and mentoring junior analysts while ensuring effective communication and process optimization.
Responsibilities:
- Partner with business stakeholders to collect, analyze, document, and validate business and functional requirements
- Lead requirements gathering sessions, workshops, and stakeholder interviews
- Translate business needs into epics, user stories, acceptance criteria, and process flows
- Manage backlogs in Jira, ensuring clear prioritization and traceability
- Create, organize, and maintain comprehensive documentation including business requirements, process maps, decision logs, and training materials
- Perform impact analysis, gap analysis, and root cause analysis for business and system changes
- Validate solutions by partnering through user acceptance testing (UAT) support and defect triage
- Identify opportunities for process optimization and operational efficiencies
- Mentor junior business analysts and contribute to BA best practices and standards
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
- 5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst, with at least 3 years in a senior or lead role
- Strong hands-on experience using Jira for backlog management, workflows, reporting, and dashboards
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong stakeholder management and facilitation skills
- Experience translating business requirements into technical solutions
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills
- BA or Agile certifications (CBAP, PMI-PBA, CSPO, CSM, or equivalent)
- Experience working with cross-functional and geographically distributed teams
- Knowledge of data analysis, reporting tools, or system integrations
- Previous experience in [industry/domain, if applicable]
- Familiarity with change management and release management practices
