CloudOps Engineer - 3rd Shift

Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a Cloud Operations Engineer to support a premier software, research, and consulting organization specializing in cutting-edge industrial-organizational psychology solutions. The Cloud Operations Engineer will design, deploy, and maintain secure AWS cloud environments while supporting mission-critical infrastructure.

Responsibilities:

• Designing, deploying, and managing AWS cloud solutions using automation and configuration-as-code
• Implementing fully automated infrastructure, system configurations, and application deployments
• Conducting security reviews, addressing scan findings, and applying patches and upgrades
• Monitoring system and application availability and supporting issue resolution
• Automating ongoing operations and maintenance tasks

Requirements:

• 5+ years of experience with system administration of RPM-based Linux (Amazon Linux, RHEL, CentOS)
• 3+ years of AWS automation experience (VPC, EC2, S3, CloudFormation, etc.)
• Experience with CloudFormation or Terraform for automated deployments
• Experience with shell scripting
• Experience with CIS, STIG, or NIST 800-53 security standards and audit remediation
• Experience with version control and CI/CD pipelines
• Bachelor's degree
• Ability to obtain and maintain a government issued security clearance
