Financial Analyst – Business Planning

Role Overview

• Develops and assists in the Rolling and Long-Term Plan forecasting processes.
• Provides support in the development and maintenance of Profit and Loss statements for physicians in the NYP Medical Group.
• Performs analyses related to resource utilization and the evaluation of Business Plans and funding requests.
• Responsible for developing and maintaining the organization’s rolling and long‑term forecasting models.
• Partners closely with the Accounting team to ensure the Strata forecasting tools align with internal financials.
• Provides essential support in profit and loss analyses for Medical Group physicians by gathering and synthesizing data from multiple sources.
• Leads the creation of financial profitability analyses.
• Collaborates with stakeholders across the NYP enterprise on Business Plans, CONs, and funds flow.
• Monitors Business Plan performance against actuals.
• Analyzes staffing requests and expenses, developing standards for resource distribution.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree
• Knowledge of budget procedures
• Knowledge of third party cost reports
• Minimum of two to three years of previous experience
