Russell Tobin is seeking a highly experienced Project Manager and Finance Transformation Subject Matter Expert to lead a critical initiative focused on optimizing Refunds & Appeasements processes. The role involves improving financial reporting accuracy and establishing governance structures across the organization.
Responsibilities:
- Lead end-to-end execution of the Refunds & Appeasements finance transformation initiative
- Establish governance frameworks, standardized taxonomy, and a Single Source of Truth (SSOT) for R&A reporting and data management
- Partner cross-functionally with Finance, Operations, and IT teams to resolve process gaps, reporting discrepancies, and technical complexities
- Conduct detailed data and gap analysis to improve tracking, reporting accuracy, and operational consistency across R&A processes
- Apply strong finance and accounting expertise to ensure alignment of R&A costs with P&L and General Ledger reporting
- Analyze refund and appeasement costs to identify opportunities for cost reduction and operational efficiencies
- Drive stakeholder alignment and manage project milestones, timelines, and deliverables in a fast-paced environment
- Support process improvement initiatives and help establish scalable reporting and governance structures
Requirements:
- Minimum 4+ years of Project Management experience focused on Finance Transformation initiatives
- Strong expertise in finance and accounting, including P&L reporting, G&L accounts, cost management, and financial operations
- Proven ability to lead cross-functional projects across Finance, Operations, and Technology teams
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills
- Experience identifying data gaps and implementing standardized reporting structures within complex environments
- Excellent communication and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously
- Experience working with Refunds & Appeasements processes, financial governance, or operational reporting initiatives
