Dahl Consulting is partnering with a leading Fortune 100 retail and e-commerce organization to hire a Security Engineer. This role focuses on providing Level 2 operational support for network security and secure access platforms, ensuring seamless and secure connectivity for a large workforce and customer-facing operations.
Responsibilities:
- Provide L2 support for VPN, proxy, and secure access issues impacting end users
- Troubleshoot and resolve connectivity issues across Windows and macOS environments
- Support and diagnose VPN and secure access clients, including Cisco AnyConnect and Zscaler (ZIA/ZCC)
- Identify and resolve issues across the endpoint-to-network security stack, including client configuration, connectivity, and policy impact
- Act as a primary contact for end-user connectivity issues, ensuring timely resolution and communication
- Work within a ticket-based support environment, prioritizing incidents effectively and providing status updates
- Escalate complex issues to engineering teams when necessary
- Support the reliability and performance of remote access and secure connectivity platforms
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve service delivery and user experience
Requirements:
- 3–5+ years of experience in network security support or endpoint connectivity support (L2 level)
- Hands-on experience supporting and troubleshooting VPN and secure access clients, including: Cisco AnyConnect and Zscaler (ZIA and/or ZCC)
- Strong troubleshooting experience across: Windows and macOS operating systems, VPN connectivity, authentication, and proxy-related issues
- Ability to diagnose issues across the endpoint-to-network security stack (client configuration, connectivity, policy enforcement)
- Experience working in a ticket-based support environment with strong prioritization and communication skills
- Proven ability to resolve technical issues with minimal escalation
- Experience with Cisco AnyConnect
- Experience supporting or administering Zscaler policies or configurations
- Exposure to firewall platforms such as Check Point for troubleshooting and escalation support
- Familiarity with load balancing or proxy solutions such as F5 BIG-IP
- General understanding of LAN/WAN networking fundamentals related to connectivity troubleshooting
