L3Harris Technologies is seeking a Supplier Quality Engineer to join their Quality Supplier team to support customers in Texas and Oklahoma. The role involves working closely with suppliers to resolve quality issues, perform product acceptance, and ensure compliance with requirements.
Responsibilities:
- Work closely with Planners, Program Quality Engineers, and Receiving Inspection to resolve supplier issues
- Visit suppliers and perform product acceptance of electrical assemblies
- Interface with internal and external customers; i.e., engineering, manufacturing, supplier, procurement to ensure requirements are met
- Analyze supplier processes and planning to verify compliance with purchase orders, engineering drawings, processes, specifications, etc
- Work with suppliers to resolve issues with purchase order inspection packages
- Investigate and report supplier quality history as requested by quality engineering or Quality & Mission Assurance (Q&MA) management
- Visit suppliers and perform investigation and root cause analysis to drive improvements into their processes
- Be accountable for assigned suppliers' performance and ensure suppliers are performing with a 100% quality rating
- Visit suppliers to review technical, quality and other contractual requirements and ensure the supplier has an adequate understanding to develop a plan to meet all the requirements
- Review the suppliers' plans for adequacy and ensure all requirements are met
- This includes, pre-award, post award, manufacturing readiness and other periodic reviews as requested
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 9 years of prior related quality experience
- Graduate Degree and a minimum of 7 years of prior related quality experience
- In lieu of a degree, minimum of 13 years of prior related quality experience
- Ability to synthesize and analyze data from several sources and develop a plan to take action based upon the data
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work within a close-knit team environment
- J-STD-001 Certification Preferred
- IPC-610 Certification Preferred
- J-STD-001 Space Addendum Certification Preferred
- Strong problem solving, RCCA and investigation experience
- Certified Quality Engineer strongly preferred
