GCP Security Engineer-Remote(Only W2/USC)

ISITE TECHNOLOGIES is seeking a GCP Security Engineer to take ownership of the security posture within Google Cloud Platform environments. The role involves implementing security best practices, managing the Security Command Center, and collaborating with teams to integrate security into cloud architecture.

Responsibilities:

• Take complete ownership of configuring, maintaining, and continuously improving the overall security posture within Google Cloud Platform (GCP) environments
• Implement and manage security best practices across GCP services, ensuring compliance with organizational and regulatory standards
• Administer and optimize Security Command Center (SCC), including configuration of findings, threat detection, and remediation workflows
• Work extensively with Security Command Center Premium Tier to leverage advanced threat detection, vulnerability scanning, and security health analytics
• Monitor, analyze, and respond to security findings, ensuring timely mitigation of risks and vulnerabilities
• Define and enforce IAM policies, network security controls, and data protection strategies within GCP
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate security into CI/CD pipelines and cloud architecture
• Maintain and utilize Google Cloud Documentation for implementing security configurations, troubleshooting issues, and staying updated with new features and best practices
• Conduct regular security assessments, audits, and posture reviews to strengthen cloud defenses
