Fingerprint empowers developers to stop online fraud at the source, and they are seeking a Manager of Cloud Platform Engineering to lead a team of 6 elite engineers. This role involves overseeing AWS EKS clusters, managing hosting costs, and defining infrastructure best practices for a high-growth SaaS leader.
Responsibilities:
- Direct a team of 6 Cloud Engineers
- Oversee the evolution of our AWS EKS clusters, ensuring they remain resilient, performant, and secure under massive load
- Partner directly with the Finance team to manage hosting costs
- Define and enforce infrastructure best practices (security, CI/CD, observability) across the entire engineering organization
- Manage and improve our modern DevOps stack, including ArgoCD for GitOps, GitHub Actions for CI/CD, and Cloudflare for edge protection
- Act as the primary technical advisor for cloud architecture
- Ensure that as product teams build new features, the underlying infrastructure is scalable by default
- Operate with minimal guidance to identify bottlenecks, propose architectural shifts, and lead their execution
- Be the 'visible lead' for infrastructure
- Distill complex technical tradeoffs into business-ready decisions for Finance and Product leadership
Requirements:
- Leadership Experience: 5+ years managing engineering teams in a cloud-native environment, with a total of 10+ years in technology
- AWS Mastery: Deep expertise in the AWS ecosystem, specifically EKS (Kubernetes), IAM, VPC, and RDS
- Modern DevOps Stack: Expert-level knowledge of GitOps workflows (ArgoCD), CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions), and Infrastructure as Code (Terraform)
- FinOps & Cost Management: Proven track record of managing seven-figure cloud budgets and implementing successful cost-reduction strategies
- Autonomy: Demonstrated ability to lead complex initiatives from conception to completion with minimal oversight
- Security Mindset: Familiarity with SOC 2 compliance, network security, and zero-trust principles
- Cloudflare: Experience managing WAF, Workers, or CDN configurations at the edge
