Senior BI Engineer

Humana is a leading healthcare services company focused on improving consumer experiences. The Senior Business Intelligence Engineer will solve complex business problems using data, define tools and practices for data transformation, and influence departmental strategy.

Responsibilities:

• Solve complex business problems using data from internal and external sources to provide insight to decision-makers
• Define the tools and practices used to transform data into impactful insights
• Influence department's strategy
• Make decisions on issues regarding technical approach for project components
• Perform work without direction and exercise considerable latitude in determining goals and approaches to assignments

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree and 5+ years of technical experience in data analysis OR Master's degree and 3+ years of experience
• Advanced experience working with big and complex data sets within large organizations
• Experience analyzing data to solve different business problems and create data visualizations that move strategic direction
• Proficiency in understanding Healthcare related data
• You must be passionate about contributing to an organization focused on improving consumer experiences
• You have experience with Star Schema and Source of Truth discipline
• You are able to work within the EST time zone
• Advanced Degree in a quantitative discipline, such as Mathematics, Economics, Finance, Statistics, Computer Science, Engineering or related field
• Advanced in SQL, SAS and other data systems
• Experience with tools such as Power BI, ableau and Qlik for creating data visualizations
• Expertise in data mining, forecasting, simulation, and predictive modeling
• Experience creating analytics solutions for multiple healthcare sectors
