Lead Cloud Solutions Engineer

Humana Inc. is a leading U.S. healthcare company dedicated to improving health outcomes for millions of people. They are seeking a Lead Cloud Solutions Engineer to support the development and execution of cloud implementation strategies, ensuring effective integration and maintenance of cloud architecture while collaborating with various stakeholders.

Responsibilities:

• Supports development and execution of cloud implementation strategy within organization's existing IT infrastructure
• Implements organization's cloud strategy from a technical perspective, including design, planning, integration, maintenance and support of cloud architecture
• May work with stakeholders across organization to evaluate cloud systems and identify appropriate solutions
• Collaborates with product managers and engineers to develop specifications for new cloud based products/services, applications and solutions
• Drives the roll-out of cloud management platforms, evaluates its performance and implements enhancements
• Advises executives to develop functional strategies (often segment specific) on matters of significance
• Exercises independent judgment and decision making on complex issues regarding job duties and related tasks, and works under minimal supervision
• Uses independent judgment requiring analysis of variable factors and determining the best course of action

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
• 8 or more years of progressive IT experience as a senior engineer in large IT projects
• 2 or more years of project leadership experience
• Extensive hands-on experience designing, deploying, and managing solutions on Microsoft Azure
• Proficiency in Azure services (e.g., Azure App Services, Azure Kubernetes Service, Azure Functions, Azure Storage, Azure Networking)
• Strong background in infrastructure as code (IaC) tools such as Terraform, ARM templates, or Azure Bicep
• Deep understanding of DevOps practices including CI/CD pipelines, automation, and configuration management
• Experience with tools such as Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or similar platforms
• Familiarity with containerization and orchestration technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes, AKS)
• Must be passionate about contributing to an organization focused on continuously improving consumer experiences
• Demonstrated experience leading cloud engineering teams or projects
• Strong ability to mentor and guide junior engineers
• Excellent collaboration skills with cross-functional teams
• Working knowledge of cloud security best practices and compliance requirements
• Experience implementing security controls in cloud environments
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to present complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
• Master's Degree
