Alteryx is a leader in data analytics and automation, committed to transforming how businesses operate. They are seeking a Lead Product Manager to oversee the product lifecycle, manage complex projects, and influence product strategies while collaborating across departments.
Responsibilities:
- Designs, develops and manages activities for a specific product or group of products from product definition and planning through production, release, and end of life
- Serves as the central resource with design, process, manufacturing, test, quality and marketing as the product(s) move to production and distribution
- Involvement lasts throughout all stages of a product’s lifecycle including modifications, upgrades and maintenance of the product or product line
- Recognized subject matter expert with specialized knowledge in the function
- Manages large projects or processes
- Limited oversight from manager. Coaches, reviews and delegates work to lower level professionals
- Problems faced are difficult and often complex. Influences others regarding policies, practices and procedures
- Provides solutions to a variety of advanced complex technical projects or business issues requiring state of the art technical or industry knowledge
- May be the in-house expert on specific technologies or within the job function area. Complete understanding and wide application of advanced technical principles, theories and concepts in a specialized field
- Possess broad knowledge of professional field and other related functions
- Goals are provided to the incumbent in form of desired results. Determines and develops approach to solve functional area related issues
- Enhanced level understanding of the department and the role that is plays in supporting the organization
- Is able to easily work with other departments to determine strategy and processes
- Seeks new ways to improve department and function within the company. Regular provides insight into complex issues and for complex department questions
- Either sets or participates in department goal setting. Regular provides direction for junior staff members
Requirements:
- Minimum 8 years functional experience including a minimum of 5 years position specific experience
- Possess the strongest of skills acquired through advanced training, study and experience
- Has advanced technical knowledge and has some knowledge in related disciplines
- May possess four year college degree (or additional relevant experience in a related field)
