Healthesystems offers workplace flexibility with their Work-From-Home model, and they are seeking a Senior Artificial Intelligence Engineer. This role is responsible for developing, implementing, and deploying AI models and systems to solve complex problems while providing mentorship and technical leadership to peers.
Responsibilities:
- Model Development: Design, develop, and implement AI models and algorithms to solve complex problems
- Data Processing: Clean, preprocess, and analyze large datasets to be used for training AI models
- Algorithm Selection: Select appropriate machine learning algorithms based on the problem being solved
- System Integration: Integrate AI models into existing systems or develop new systems to deploy AI solutions
- Performance Optimization: Continuously optimize AI models for accuracy, efficiency, and scalability
- Research and Development: Stay up to date with the latest developments in AI and machine learning and apply them to projects. Actively participate in the alignment of departmental goals to enterprise objectives
- Collaboration: Work closely with data scientists, data and software engineers, and other stakeholders to translate ambiguous business problems to develop AI solutions. May act as a SME and help guide best practices on the team as well as mentor more junior members of the team
- Documentation: Create detailed documentation for AI models, processes, and systems
- Deployment and Monitoring: Deploy AI models into production and monitor their performance over time
- Ethical Considerations: Ensure AI models are developed and deployed ethically, considering potential biases and fairness
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university; plus, minimum of four or more years related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred
- Proven experience working with Gen AI/ML models and integrating API's, SDK's and applications that utilize AI/ML
- Proven experience with Retrieval Augmented Generation (RAG) based solutions
- Demonstrated experience with NLP techniques, Prompt Engineering, and a strong understanding of LLMs
- Strong programming skills in Python (required), Java (preferred)
- Deep understanding of algorithms, data structures, and software engineering principles
- Strong familiarity with cloud platforms like AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills; must have the ability to showcase past examples of the use of these skills
- Knowledge of ethical considerations in AI
- Java (preferred)
