Software Engineer - Platform Productivity | USA | Remote

Grafana Labs is a remote-first company known for its open-source visualization tools, serving over 20 million users globally. They are seeking a Software Engineer - Platform Productivity to enhance their internal engineering platform, focusing on automation of release processes and collaboration with internal teams to improve developer productivity.

Responsibilities:

• Development and maintenance of our Internal Engineering Platform (IEP)
• CI/CD platform management and development
• Build, release and deployment automation
• Application configuration management tooling
• “Up to date” software automation
• Artefact management
• Working with diverse internal teams, from application development to security, to support implementation of their requirements
• Being part of an on-call rotation to support Platform tooling

Requirements:

• Experience with operating your code
• Familiarity with Kubernetes and Docker
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code
• Comfortable working in a remote-first company
• Eager to learn and grow
• Holistic approach to development
• Experience with CI/CD processes
• Ability to work collaboratively with engineers and management
• Experience in building, releasing, and deploying automation
• Ability to contribute to discussions and commit to team decisions
• Experience with application configuration management tooling
• Experience with artifact management
• Willingness to be part of an on-call rotation to support Platform tooling
• Engineering/software development experience within a Platform group delivering services to internal engineering teams
• Experience working in a cloud environment
• Infrastructure as Code with Terraform/Crossplane
• Familiarity with Kubernetes administration, especially with Tanka
• Experience/Interest in implementing, integrating, and maintaining observability systems and processes
