Hyatt is a leading hospitality company seeking a Global Group Sales Manager to join their Sales Force Meetings & Events team. In this remote role, the manager will develop and implement sales strategies, build relationships with key decision-makers, and ensure high levels of customer satisfaction while collaborating with various internal teams.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement sales strategies that drive revenue growth for the company's DC/MD/VA market accounts in the hospitality industry
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers
- Collaborate with internal teams, including marketing, operations, and finance, to ensure the successful execution of sales strategies
- Serve as a key liaison between the corporate office and local hotel leaders
- Monitor and analyze industry trends, competitor activity, and market intelligence to inform sales strategies and tactics
- Assist in the negotiating contracts, providing support to both the hotel colleagues and customers
- Provide regular sales reports and forecasts to senior management
- Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction by working closely with hotel teams to deliver exceptional service to assigned accounts
- Monitor and manage the sales pipeline, forecast sales results, and report on sales performance to senior management
- Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and trade shows
Requirements:
- 3+ years of experience in hotel sales
- Proven track record in sales, consistently exceeding targets and increasing revenue within the hospitality industry
- Strong knowledge of contract processes
- Exceptional leadership, communication, and negotiation skills
- Must be located in the Eastern time zone of the United States
- Must be able to work remotely and independently
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced and very demanding market, including off-peak hours and days as required
- Must have the ability to get creative with customer engagement opportunities
- Must be very strategic when working with accounts
- Flexibility to travel as needed to meet with clients and collaborate with hotel teams
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- 4-year college degree preferred or equivalent work experience
- Solid written, verbal, and presentation skills
- Excellent organizational skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders
- Experience in Microsoft suite (Excel, PowerPoint & Word)
- Proficient in Lanyon, CVENT & Envision (or similar CRM tool)
- Experience with Cognos, Tableau, Reserve, and Oracle
- Experience in hotel sales focused on the DC/MD/VA market is a bonus
