Redis is a leading company that provides fast data solutions for businesses worldwide. They are seeking a Site Reliability Engineer to manage production incidents, troubleshoot complex issues, and enhance system reliability for their Redis Enterprise clusters in the cloud.
Responsibilities:
- Own and manage production incidents impacting Redis Enterprise clusters in Azure cloud
- Troubleshoot complex issues across distributed systems, driving root cause analysis and resolution
- Partner with R&D and Product teams to resolve bugs, influence product improvements through operational insights, and drive long-term reliability enhancements
- Participate in a 24/7 on-call rotation in a global team (follow-the-sun model)
- Design and develop code-driven automation tools, internal platforms, and data workflows leveraging cloud services and AI-assisted development tools (e.g., Cursor, Codex, Augment) to streamline operations, enhance incident analysis, and improve visibility into production systems
- Build and maintain services to enhance incident management, reporting, and fleet-level insights
- Enhance observability and monitoring (Prometheus, Grafana, Azure Monitor) by building AI-driven systems for data enrichment, anomaly detection, and automated troubleshooting
- Continuously enhance incident response processes and overall system reliability at scale
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience), with 4+ years in SRE, Cloud Operations, or Infrastructure Engineering
- Proven experience troubleshooting production systems at scale, including hands-on experience with major cloud providers (AWS, Azure, GCP)
- Strong Linux/Unix systems knowledge
- Solid understanding of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP)
- Experience with monitoring and observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, Splunk, Azure Data Explorer) and analyzing telemetry data using KQL
- Strong scripting/programming skills in Python and Bash; experience with C# is a plus
- Experience using AI-assisted development tools to accelerate code generation, improve automation workflows, and enhance operational tooling
- Familiarity with version control systems and CI/CD platforms (Git, GitLab, Azure DevOps)
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills for large-scale distributed systems
- Ability to design and implement scalable, maintainable automation solutions in a production environment
- Due to U.S. government security clearance requirements, this role will require eligibility for a U.S. Top Secret/SCI security clearance (U.S. citizenship required for eligibility). Clearance is not required at time of hire. All qualified applicants will be considered consistent with applicable laws and government security clearance requirements
- Familiarity with Redis or other NoSQL databases
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools (Terraform, Pulumi)
- Cloud and Linux certifications
- Experience with C# and other programming languages
- Experience in regulated environments (e.g., FedRAMP, AirGap)
