Teach undergraduate courses within the Bachelor of Social Work (BSW) curriculum in an online, asynchronous learning environment
Facilitate student learning using evidence-informed teaching practices consistent with the CSWE Educational Policy and Accreditation Standards (EPAS)
Foster an engaging, inclusive, and supportive learning environment that promotes student success
Connect students experiencing academic or personal challenges with appropriate college support services, including advising, tutoring, accessibility services, and counseling
Maintain an active online presence in assigned courses a minimum of four days each week
Monitor course discussions, provide timely and substantive feedback on assignments, and respond to student inquiries within established college timelines
Attend faculty meetings, either virtually or in person as appropriate, including the annual faculty meeting when requested
Participate in ongoing professional development activities
Demonstrate cultural humility and the ability to work effectively with students from diverse backgrounds
Utilize Blackboard and other required instructional technologies effectively
Requirements
Master of Social Work (MSW) from a CSWE-accredited program or a Bachelor of Social Work (BSW) from a CSWE-accredited program
Minimum of two (2) years of post-degree professional social work practice experience
Previous higher education teaching experience
Previous experience teaching in an online asynchronous learning environment, including the use of a learning management system such as Blackboard, Canvas, or a comparable platform
Demonstrated knowledge of generalist social work practice, the NASW Code of Ethics, and the Council on Social Work Education (CSWE) Educational Policy and Accreditation Standards (EPAS)
Demonstrated proficiency using instructional technology, learning management systems, and common computer applications
Excellent written, verbal, interpersonal, and organizational skills
Ability to foster an engaging, inclusive, and student-centered online learning environment
