Role Overview
- Act as Line Manager for Personnel working on the shift
- Attend daily production meetings and any monthly supervisor’s meetings
- Ensure all duties are carried out in accordance with the employee handbook
- Report machine stoppages to Production Controller and maintenance
- Ensure all PPQC and QC checks are carried out in accordance with relevant work instructions
- Audit all pre-production checks
- Provide technical support and advice to shift personnel
- Carry out a 6S tour once a month and share findings via a report
- Maintain machine safety check sheets and ensure outstanding issues are resolved
- Ensure all personnel under your control are always fully occupied and undertaking work relating to their jobs
Requirements
- Technically proficient in machine setting
- Methodical approach to fault finding
- Ability to communicate clearly, verbally and in writing, and at all levels within the Company
- Competent user of Microsoft Suite of Applications (Word/Excel/Outlook)
- Ability to lead and motivate a team of people to achieve agreed goals/objectives
- Be able to work under pressure, remaining calm and in control
- Highly driven, ensuring that the job is done well and recognising the importance of customer satisfaction in their work
- Persistent and not thrown off course by obstacles or difficulty
