About this role
Role Overview
Provide strategic legal counsel as a business partner and uphold and foster the highest standards of integrity within ABB.
Ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and ethical standards.
Effectively and pragmatically manage legal risks.
Reviewing and negotiating contracts, drafting commercial agreements and other contractual terms in collaboration with relevant business stakeholders and team members, and collaborating with contract management.
Monitoring legal affairs, including but not limited to litigations and activity reports and occupying a seat at the table on local strategic business matters.
Ensuring good corporate governance (including structuring, drafting, and negotiation) in your area of accountability within the country, with respect to Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A) / divestiture transactions.
Supporting in anticipating future business and legal opportunities and challenges and developing appropriate strategies to address them.
Requirements
Degree in law from an established US university.
Law firm experience and In-house experience preferred.
You hold current bar admission valid in a US State.
Candidates must already have work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US.
You are at ease communicating in English. French and/or German helpful.
You enjoy working as part of a full-service team integrated into our business.
Willingness to work with AI and in a digitally enabled environment.
You are passionate about law in a practical and solution orientated way with out-of-the
box thinking.
You are captivated by technology and want to work collaboratively as a true business partner.
