Healthcare Resource Specialist

Role Overview

• Provide exceptional customer service to our patients
• Facilitate the transfer of care between primary care providers and specialists
• Support all clinic departments and successfully track and coordinate referrals
• Use various software platforms for patient information collection
• Contact insurance companies to ensure prior approval requirements are met

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent required
• Previous experience in hospital, medical or insurance office setting preferred
• Working knowledge of medical terminology and the healthcare system (insurances, Medicare, Medicaid, physician office operations) preferred
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Well-developed English verbal and written communication skills
