The Sr. Manager, Business Innovation Owner leads end-to-end innovation initiatives that turn business strategy into measurable results.
This role drives multi-functional collaboration from conceptualization through execution, ensuring new products, services, or processes deliver business value, operational impact, and financial outcomes while balancing speed, risk, and strategic priorities.
Translates business strategies, customer needs, and market insights into innovation initiatives and testable hypotheses.
Leads the full lifecycle of innovation projects, including discovery, prototyping, experimentation, validation, and scaling.
Leads and facilitates agile teams, workstreams, workshops, sprints, and retrospectives to drive iterative learning and delivery.
Conducts or supervises market research, customer discovery, and product‑market fit assessments.
Designs and delivers validation experiments using lean startup, design thinking, or hypothesis-driven methods.
Builds strong cases, ROI models, and scaling recommendations advised by evidence and data.
Influences and aligns partners across product, business, design, engineering, analytics, and operations.
Removes blockers, leads risks, and ensures multi-functional clarity on goals, roles, and expected outcomes.
Prepares and delivers clear communication, updates, and recommendations for senior leadership.
Contributes to continuous improvement of innovation practices, playbooks, and operating rhythms within the business unit.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Strategy, Innovation, Marketing, Design, Economics, or a related field; or equivalent practical experience
8 -10 years demonstrated ability in innovation, product strategy, business strategy, consulting, or related fields
3 Years leading others directly or indirectly
Financial and partner management skill
Demonstrated success owning initiatives from conceptualization through validation and launch
Experience leading multi-functional teams using agile or iterative methods
Solid ability to translate business strategy into actionable innovation plans and validated concepts
Deep experience with innovation frameworks (e.g., design thinking, lean startup, agile experimentation)
Excellent research, synthesis, and analytical skills, particularly related to customer insights and market dynamics
Ability to assess product‑market fit and design experiments to validate assumptions
Strong leadership of multi-functional teams without formal authority
Skilled facilitator, capable of leading workshops, sprints, and structured ideation sessions
Effective partner management, influence, and communication skills
Ability to develop cases and articulate clear value propositions and critical metrics
Comfort with ambiguity and iterative development in early‑stage environments
