Prepare detailed Computer Aided Design (CAD) drawings for efficient placement of products and systems
Interpret and apply NFPA standards to design/layout sprinkler systems based on building type and features
Design/layout sprinkler systems using AutoCAD platform, coordinate sprinkler piping with other components, perform hydraulic calculations
Perform field checks of completed design to verify accuracy
Work with district contracting teams to understand customer contract and design process schedule
Coordinate deliveries of system materials to meet installation start dates
Mentor others in accurate execution of sprinkler design

High School diploma or equivalent
At least 1-5 years of fire sprinkler design experience
Working experience of AutoCAD, HydraCAD, Sprinkler Design Software or equivalent sprinkler design software
Ability to solve basic math problems including geometry and algebra
Proficient in AutoCAD, MSOffice, Sprinkler Design Software and a hydraulic calculation program
Interpret and apply applicable NFPA standards for Automatic Sprinkler System Layout
NICET Level III in Water-Based Systems Layout
