Supplier Quality Senior Manager

Role Overview

• Manages and oversees the Quality Management System (QMS), processes, procedures, requirements, contracts and metrics, to ensure the compliance of external suppliers.
• May conduct supplier assessments to ensure compliance with quality standards, regulatory requirements, and contractual obligations.
• Supports source inspection and material release processes.
• May perform validation and approval of supplier submitted FAIR through measurement verification and documentation.
• Leads multiple teams to execute Supplier Quality & Development key initiatives.
• Engages the leadership team of key suppliers to initiate appropriate major improvement programs to achieve and sustain high levels of performance.
• Guides the development and implementation of new processes to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of existing systems.
• Owns the execution of long-term strategy (e.g., more than 3 years) and operational direction, typically for an entire region, country, product or business of considerable size and scope.
• Owns the establishment and execution of short
• to medium-term operational plans (e.g., less than 1 year to 1-2 years) for the organization.
• Provides expertise on the analysis of quality data and development of part / supplier specific quality issue resolution and corrective actions.
• Owns maintenance of processes, standards, and plans for the implementation of minimum standards, tools, and methods to ensure the effectiveness of existing quality processes and sustain improvements in quality performance.
• Drives the support of organization projects and processes to ensure the achievement of day-to-day and longer-term quality targets.
• Reviews procedures and metrics that impact quality and makes recommendations to improve compliance with internal standards.
• Must be willing and able to travel up to 20% of the time

Requirements

• Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 10 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 7 years of experience
• 5+ years experience in supply chain or manufacturing operations
• 3+ years prior leadership experience leading direct reports
• 5+ years experience with project or contract management
• U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract
• Experience leading remote employees
• Aerospace experience
• AS9100 auditing experience
• Strategic business planning
