Manages and oversees the Quality Management System (QMS), processes, procedures, requirements, contracts and metrics, to ensure the compliance of external suppliers.
May conduct supplier assessments to ensure compliance with quality standards, regulatory requirements, and contractual obligations.
Supports source inspection and material release processes.
May perform validation and approval of supplier submitted FAIR through measurement verification and documentation.
Leads multiple teams to execute Supplier Quality & Development key initiatives.
Engages the leadership team of key suppliers to initiate appropriate major improvement programs to achieve and sustain high levels of performance.
Guides the development and implementation of new processes to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of existing systems.
Owns the execution of long-term strategy (e.g., more than 3 years) and operational direction, typically for an entire region, country, product or business of considerable size and scope.
Owns the establishment and execution of short
to medium-term operational plans (e.g., less than 1 year to 1-2 years) for the organization.
Provides expertise on the analysis of quality data and development of part / supplier specific quality issue resolution and corrective actions.
Owns maintenance of processes, standards, and plans for the implementation of minimum standards, tools, and methods to ensure the effectiveness of existing quality processes and sustain improvements in quality performance.
Drives the support of organization projects and processes to ensure the achievement of day-to-day and longer-term quality targets.
Reviews procedures and metrics that impact quality and makes recommendations to improve compliance with internal standards.
Must be willing and able to travel up to 20% of the time
Requirements
Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 10 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 7 years of experience
5+ years experience in supply chain or manufacturing operations
3+ years prior leadership experience leading direct reports
5+ years experience with project or contract management
U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract
