Role Overview
- Mechanical design and documentation of hardware and systems utilizing engineering tools and MS office suite.
- Contribute as part of a small team during product development, part and drawing creation, drawing release, and drawing change incorporation.
- Creatively apply mechanical engineering knowledge to efficiently solve complex design problems.
- Provide factory and supplier support.
- Collaborate with other mechanical engineers, designers, and structural/ thermal analysts.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM)
- The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance
- U.S. citizenship is required for security clearance eligibility.
- Experience with CAD software or CREO
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively in team settings
- Strong aptitude for disciplined process execution and flexibility to adapt processes
- Proven ability to apply academic engineering principles to identify and resolve design challenges
- Comprehensive understanding of mechanical engineering design processes.
- Familiarity with Mechanical Tolerance Analysis and application of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
