About this role
Role Overview
Manage the accounting activities for our MCE legacy program long term aftermarket contracts, including partner reporting packages, journal entries, account reconciliations and supplemental reporting.
Collaborate with the MCE aftermarket finance and customer facing teams to ensure accounting accuracy and completeness for this portfolio of contracts. Prepare the monthly reconciliation of sales and cost activity from the subledger to general ledger.
Track and report on net contract asset and liability activity by contract and ESN.
Assist management with the review of current and newly executed long term aftermarket contracts including assessing the overall accounting conclusions. Support management and the CE Restructuring team with transactions involving contract amendments and modifications.
Manage the reconciliation of inventory held in support of our long term aftermarket contracts with major airline customers.
Support management on ad hoc requests and special projects.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance and 8+ years of experience in accounting or finance; OR an advanced degree in Accounting or Finance and 5+ years of experience in accounting or finance.
Internal controls and process improvement experience.
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft PowerPoint.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and time management skills.
Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively on cross-functional teams.
U.S. Citizenship is required due to access to restricted systems/tools.
Experience in OneStream.
Experience in Black Line (Account Reconciliation Management System).
Experience with tools specific to Engine Services (SPIDRS, SPANAS, Deferred Revenue database, and MMAPs).
Previous professional experience in the aerospace industry.
Experience in SAP and Business Warehouse.
Advanced degree or Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation.
