Design and develop welding processes and procedures to meet production requirements
Optimize welding processes to improve efficiency, quality, and reduce costs
Ensure that all welding operations meet quality and safety standards
Troubleshoot welding-related issues and implement corrective actions
Work closely with production teams, quality control, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless operations
Develops, analyzes, researches, and designs welding techniques, procedures, and applications
Prepares technical documentation in order to implement waterfront welding processes including specifications, analyses, standards, and restrictions
Creates new or modifies current welding methods, techniques, and procedures in order to substantiate welding theories

Bachelor's Degree in engineering from an ABET accredited program
Understanding of welding engineering and design principles and how they apply to shipbuilding
Knowledge of submarine/carriers welding and how it interfaces with structural, electrical and mechanical systems
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with proven technical writing ability.
DOD Security Clearance may be required
