Patient Care Technician

Role Overview

• Provides direct patient care to assigned patients in our Labor & Delivery Unit (E5).
• Supports the ongoing delivery of care as identified by the multidisciplinary Patient Management Team.
• Works under the direct supervision of the RN and performs tasks and duties which do not require a license, professional judgment or intervention.
• Must pass the required competencies.
• Adheres to UAMS clinical programs, policies, procedures and standards and guest care guidelines.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• Excellent communication skills, basic computer skills, strong work ethics and accountability.
• Successful completion of patient care technician course is required within 3 months of employment.
• Experience in an ambulatory care setting.
• Healthcare/Patient Care experience.
• CPR Certified/Licensed.
