Retail Credit Risk and Monitoring Unit Manager

Role Overview

• Lead first-line retail credit risk activities across the Baltics
• Ensure lending is carried out within risk appetite and policies
• Drive improvements in decision-making and underwriting documentation
• Oversee portfolio performance monitoring and reporting to stakeholders
• Identify emerging risks and propose mitigations in partnership with teams
• Ensure robust collateral management and valuation practices
• Promote high standards of data quality and develop actionable insights
• Ensure effective operation of credit decisioning tools and systems
• Act as key contact for regulators and internal control functions
• Lead, mentor and develop a diverse team of credit risk professionals

Requirements

• Proven leadership experience in retail lending, credit risk management or portfolio management in a regulated financial institution.
• Strong knowledge of retail and micro-business lending products.
• Experience with credit portfolio analytics and performance management.
• Familiarity with regulatory frameworks and credit risk governance principles.
• Data-driven mindset with interpretation of analytical outputs.
• Practical experience with BI tools and understanding of SQL.
• Understanding of credit decisioning systems and affordability assessments.
• Experience in collateral management and real estate valuation principles.
• Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and presentation skills.
• Fluent English, both written and spoken.
