About this role
Role Overview
Develop and lead research and analysis related to Medicare policy
Maintain active knowledge of the Medicare program to inform policy discussions
Provide timely, fact-based, policy-relevant data for policymakers, the media, and the public
Work both independently and collaboratively with other team members
Engage with external communications responding to inquiries from media, policymakers, and stakeholders
Present work and maintain high standards of quality, accuracy, trust, and integrity
Requirements
Knowledge of Medicare and the key issues and agencies
Graduate degree (master’s or PhD) in health economics, health policy, public policy, public administration, business, or related field preferred
At least 5 years of work experience in the government or health care/health sector industry, research, or consulting roles
Fluency and familiarity with health care data analysis, research methods, and statistical and economic concepts
Ability to interpret and clearly communicate data analysis and research findings for non-technical audiences
Experience analyzing survey data, claims data, and/or other administrative data sources using R and/or SAS
Highly organized, detail oriented,
Strong communication skills
