Role Overview
Assist the Accounts function with site account tasks as required, to ensure accurate and timely records.
Reconcile creditor accounts, fuel charges, purchase cards and other similar administrative support duties.
Record, process and investigate invoice queries and ensure a timely resolution.
Communicate with internal and external stakeholders as required.
Input cost journals in line with relevant procedures with appropriate approval and communication.
Assist accounting team with month end processes, ensuring accurate recording of costs.
Process allocated staff expenses in accordance with the Costain policy.
Requirements
At least 9 GCSE's
Relevant A-Levels or BTech qualifications
Ability to work well under pressure, solving problems in a calm and rational manner and always acting with integrity.
Have clear written and oral communication skills.
Is a good team player and demonstrates a positive ‘can do’ attitude.
Keen to learn and to be challenged.
Experience of using EnterpriseOne (E1) or other accountancy software (Desirable).
Previous experience in an accounting or accounts assistant position (Desirable).
Computer competence (MS Word, Excel, document and finance management systems) (Desirable).
