Advising customers in SMEs and large enterprises on optimizing their SAP licenses and contracts
Preparing business cases and supporting contract negotiations
Conducting license requirement analyses for existing and planned SAP system landscapes
Advising internal stakeholders on licensing models, usage types and compliance requirements
Assessing licensing risks, including deriving suitable measures to mitigate risks
Monitoring and managing current SAP license usage (users, engines, Digital Access, infrastructure add‑ons)
Ensuring compliance with all relevant SAP licensing and contractual terms
Preparing and supporting SAP measurements (USMM, LAW, PCE metering) and audits
Developing and maintaining a continuous license management process
Identifying cost-saving opportunities and optimizing the license landscape
Providing strategic recommendations for future SAP investments
Evaluating new SAP licensing models such as SAP Cloud ERP (Private and Public) (RISE / GROW)
Preparing reports, analyses and decision papers for management
Requirements
Solid knowledge of the SAP product portfolio (SAP ECC, S/4HANA, SAP Cloud, BTP, SuccessFactors, Ariba, Business AI, etc.)
Understanding of SAP licensing models (on‑premise and cloud — in particular Cloud ERP Public and Private (formerly GROW and RISE), Digital Access)
Experience with SAP contract frameworks (on‑premise and cloud) and supporting SAP contract negotiations
Knowledge of compliance and audit processes (license measurement, SAP LAW, USMM, cloud license measurement, STAR framework)
Basic knowledge of SAP authorization concepts, system architectures, and S/4 migration/transformation approaches
Fundamentals in Software Asset Management (SAM) and ITSM processes
Analytical and consulting skills
Ability to interpret usage data and derive license requirements
Cost optimization and scenario modeling (TCO / TVO) for licensing strategies
Experience supporting negotiations with SAP or resellers
Preparing analyses and management presentations
Experience with SAP license measurement tools (LAW, USMM, SAP4Me, SAM4U) or third‑party tools (e.g., Honico DLC, Flexera/Snow Optimizer for SAP, VOQUZ samQ) is desirable
Skills in data analysis (Excel) and presentation (PowerPoint)
Understanding of system architecture and integration (e.g., regarding indirect usage)
