Manage enterprise-wide emissions and operations data acquisition across every business unit, ensuring accurate, consistent implementation of carbon accounting, calculation, and verification methodologies.
Take responsibility for the corporate GHG emissions platform (Encompass Metrics), guiding continuous advancements that ensure scalable, high-quality data management.
Provide emissions performance reports (monthly, quarterly, YTD) to assist corporate scorecard , reduction initiative monitoring, and real-time variance analysis.
Prepare and support regulatory and compliance reporting (e.g., EPS, NPRI, MSAPR, Methane), including emissions rates, intensity metrics, and LDAR program reporting.
Support the annual assurance process and sustainability disclosures by working closely with external auditors and tracking changes in reporting standards.
Conduct emissions analytics, including trend and uncertainty analysis, to identify risks, improve data accuracy, and support Scope 1 and 2 reduction initiatives.
Partner with internal and external collaborators by providing emissions insights for commercial activities, collaborator reporting, and maintaining data platforms and tools (e.g., SharePoint).
Requirements
Related university degree and minimum of four or more years of experience OR equivalent combination of formal education, certification and experience.
Strong collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to engage across business units and translate technical emissions data into actionable business insights.
Proven background in corporate GHG emissions reporting, including regulatory requirements, voluntary reporting, and complete procedures from data collection to assurance.
Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills, along with the capability to detect reporting gaps, foster improvements, and carry out complex, enterprise-wide processes.
Proficiency in emissions data oversight, covering quality review processes, uniform techniques, and building or upgrading reporting mechanisms.
Ability to work independently, manage competing priorities, and coordinate multiple deliverables while maintaining alignment with corporate objectives.
Experience assisting with audit preparedness and working alongside external auditors; familiarity with financial reporting and internal controls is regarded as a plus.
Preferred: Degree in Environmental Sciences or Engineering, or equivalent experience.
Background in project management or business administration.
Experience involving Provincial /State and Federal (CAN/US) regulatory reporting (e.g., Ontario (MECP; OEB), Quebec (Régie de l'énergie), Federal Canada (ECCC), US EPA and FERC).
