Senior Meter Technician

Role Overview

• Perform technical work and related activities associated with planning, engineering, design, analysis, research, development, testing, construction, maintenance and operation of Company equipment and facilities.
• Assists in resolving conflict, builds consensus; also assists in developing and presenting technical reports clearly, concisely, and effectively.
• Provides input in areas that affect the work of the team, also maintains an awareness of risk; exhibits awareness of AEP competitive position and how business decisions impact their organizational unit; understands organizational goals and offers suggestions on how best to achieve these goals.
• Demonstrates the ability to understand and perform technical functions required in relevant area of assignment; demonstrates a good ability to use technical and computer tools to perform assignments in most cost effective method possible.

Requirements

• Must have a two year associate degree in electrical/electronic technology
• Acceptable written and verbal communications skills
• Must be willing to work overtime as required by job responsibilities
