Focus on strengthening our Country Office (CO) Supply Chain function through a continuous improvement approach
Ensure that our processes are efficient and provide effective and quality support in a timely way to meet the needs of our project participants
Work closely with the Regional Supply Chain Specialist (RSCS) to focus on the country’s overall performance and functional capabilities
Assess structure, capacity, skills and knowledge of business processes
Support implementation of improvement plans
Monitor progress to improve the Country’s overall performance against core metrics and KPIs
Provide training and support
Make best use of our ERP system (SAP) and provide hands on support when required
Conduct assessments, identify gaps, support recruitment and team restructuring, drive continuous improvement initiatives, build staff capacity, and deliver in-country or virtual supply chain support in coordination with RSCS.
Coordinate Communities of Practice and workshops, promote collaboration and best practices, and enhance understanding of strategic supply chain management among Regional Hub and Country Office leadership teams.
Ensure compliance with our Supply Chain Operations Manual and support ERP system use through training and 1:1 support as needed.
Identify training needs, deliver and improve SAP MM and Power BI training, develop user support materials, promote data quality and accurate reporting.
Facilitate the rollout of new processes, tools, and templates through training and awareness sessions.
Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain Management or equivalent
Professional membership to a Supply chain management body eg. CIPS level 5, KISM etc
At least 5 years of practical hands-on experience in cross functional supply chain management
Expert knowledge of supply chain management and significant experience in humanitarian or development contexts, preferably with International NGOs.
Strong understanding of supply chain processes, approaches, tools, methodologies, and organisational learning, that is up to date with best practices in the sector.
Strong understanding of the realities of INGO supply chain and limitations that impact project implementation, financial control, monitoring, reporting, evaluation and learning.
Understanding of critical supply chain components around procurement planning, sourcing, buying and fleet management.
Familiarity with ERP systems (specifically SAP Materials Management (MM) module), fleet management systems (e.g., TracPoint) and Power BI with a focus on user adoption and data quality.
Ability and experience to deliver engaging training (virtual/in-person) on business processes, SAP MM and Power BI.
Direct experience working with multicultural and multi-sector teams in at least two different countries.
