About this role
Role Overview
- Will work on the Search and EVAL teams, tackling highly complex technical problems within search systems and quality evaluation
- Collaborate with engineering leadership and product teams focused on the search experience
- Contribute from technical design through delivery, gaining increasing autonomy as you gain context
- Work with APIs, high-throughput systems, and continuous experimentation (A/B testing, data analysis)
Requirements
- Strong experience in backend development (Python, Go, or similar)
- Familiarity with REST APIs and asynchronous communication (queues, events)
- Experience with relational databases (PostgreSQL or similar)
- Ability to work on distributed, high-scale systems
- Strong analytical skills — comfortable with experimentation, testing, and data-driven optimization
- Good technical communication and a willingness to collaborate with peers and other teams
- Integrated AI usage in development (e.g., automation, code generation, agents) — extensive, fluent use rather than superficial
- Prior experience with search systems is not required
