Data Product Owner – Permanent

Role Overview

• Define project scope and monitor the progress of data projects
• Responsible for leading the pre-scoping and scoping phases of the project and for creating the schedule, resource plan, and list of deliverables.
• Define the roles and responsibilities of project team members, identify required resources and effort, prepare the provisional budget, monitor budget adherence, and define project phasing if necessary.
• Establish and maintain project tracking and management reporting tools to provide full visibility on project progress.
• Anticipate and communicate risks throughout the project.
• Organize and lead governance/steering meetings for data projects.
• Manage relationships with vendors and external solutions (RFI, RFP, contracting, invoicing, and monitoring commitments).
• Gather and translate business needs into data solutions.
• Organize and facilitate workshops with business teams to define project requirements.
• Produce deliverables, prioritize all requirements in a backlog, organize and facilitate prototyping workshops for data solutions with business teams and data experts, and run user testing sessions with business users and data experts.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to develop the product vision, conducting strategic planning for upcoming releases through to decommissioning.
• Support operational deployment and ensure change management.
• Define, with business and data teams, the business processes for data collection as well as the processes for accessing and using the data solution.
• Develop the deployment plan and identify change-support needs with the business teams.
• Responsible for creating deployment and training materials for developed solutions, and for leading presentation and training sessions.
• Contribute to the communication plan for data projects and prepare internal and external communication materials for the project.

Requirements

• Engineering degree (Master’s level / Bac +5)
• Degree from a grande école
• Specialization in computer science / IT
• Background in pharmaceutical fields is a plus (pharmacy, clinical development, healthcare marketing, etc.)
• 3 to 5 years of experience in a data project role within the pharmaceutical industry.
• Fluent French and English (minimum B2)
• Strong knowledge of project management best practices (scheduling, deliverables, costs, deadlines, quality, etc.)
• Skilled in facilitating requirements-definition meetings with business teams.
• Proficient in writing key deliverables for data projects.
• Experienced in drafting and implementing business processes associated with a data solution.
• Understanding of the technical environment of a data project (data, structures, tools, etc.)
• Knowledge of data valorization/analytics tools is a plus (Tableau, Alteryx, etc.)
