Lead Supply Technician

Role Overview

• Actively participates in the Central Supply work force and leads/instructs Supply Technicians in the daily completion of supply restocking duties
• Provides relief supervision in the absence of the CS Supervisor
• Actively participates in the inventory, filling and restocking of supply par areas on Nursing and/or Surgical units
• Displays proficiency when using the Pyxis computerized restocking process; completes par level assignments in allocated amount of time
• Practices stock rotation, removal of outdated supplies and cycle counting of supplies to ensure accuracy of counts
• Receives and stocks supplies in Central Supply as assigned and/or as needed
• Trains and leads Clinical Tech I’s in the proper restocking of nursing/surgical supply areas, maintenance of supply areas and Central Supply
• Counsels employees and makes disciplinary recommendations to the Supervisor as needed
• Staffs the Central Supply dispatch window as assigned; issues and records supply

Requirements

• High School/GED or formal educational equivalent
• Six months experience in supply distribution preferably in healthcare environment
• Two years previous experience in stocking supplies and/or supervisory experience
