Act as a functional SME and quality gate for complex Fixed Asset and Product Costing & Inventory activities
Perform work independently within established procedures, policies, and broad guidelines
Provide guidance, coaching, and cross-training to analysts and peers on process execution, issue resolution, and quality expectations
Lead or significantly contribute to process improvement, standardization, and automation initiatives
Support Fixed Asset accounting activities including capitalization, depreciation, transfers, retirements, reconciliations, and related reporting in accordance with GM policies and accounting requirements
Collaborate effectively with peers and stakeholders across teams, including team members one to two levels above, to coordinate actions, integrate inputs, and support solutions
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or equivalent
Strong accounting foundation and relevant experience in a multinational shared service environment
Experience in Fixed Asset and/or Product Costing & Inventory accounting processes is strongly preferred
Good understanding of US GAAP, IFRS, and SOX / Internal Control requirements
Experience in month-end close, journal entry preparation, reconciliations, reporting, and issue resolution
Working knowledge of SAP and other GM systems as required for the assigned role; knowledge of asset flow, material flow, and relevant SAP transactions is an advantage
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills within established policies and procedures
Experience in process implementation, project execution, continuous improvement, and process re-engineering
Strong verbal and written communication skills in English
Demonstrates accountability through physical presence at the office as required by team or organizational needs such as workshops, training and development, and office events.
